Join Trout Takedown 2025 – from September 1st to December 1st!
Forst & Jagthuset invites you to this year’s biggest sea trout competition, where you can win awesome prizes, show off your catches, and compete for the title of Trout Angler of the Year!
How to participate:
Sign up in-store or order your registration package online.
The entry fee is 250 DKK – and you’ll receive quality gear in your package:
When you register, you’ll receive:
✔️ Savage Gear Roll-Up Measuring Tape
✔️ SFG Digital Scale
(Value approx. 350 DKK)
These must be used to measure and weigh your catch to enter the competition.

Then you can choose an alternative participant package containing:

Submission and Prizes:
When you catch a record fish, send your photos, name, and documentation to:

📅 On December 3rd, 2025, we will announce the three winners – they will be contacted directly via email.
🏆 All approved photos will be shown on our catch screen in-store and featured in a gallery on our website.
Rules and Important Information:
- You can register at any time during the competition – but only fish caught after your registration will count.
- Only fish caught in Denmark are accepted.
- You must use the provided measuring tape and scale – using other equipment will result in disqualification.
- Only one prize per participant – but you can keep submitting bigger fish, which will replace your previous entry.
- Zero tolerance for cheating – we check metadata and reserve the right to disqualify participants.
- By submitting photos, you agree that we may use them in articles, on social media, on our website, and in-store.
- Sea trout in spawning colors are protected from November 16, 2025. These do not count from that date onward.
How to register your catch:
To participate, you must catch a sea trout in Denmark between September 1st and December 1st, 2025, and document it with the following:
- A photo of the fish on the provided measuring tape, with the length clearly visible
- A photo of the fish being weighed with the provided scale, clear numbers in the display
- A photo of you holding the fish – the classic winner photo
- All photos must contain metadata with GPS coordinates and date
(Photos without correct metadata will be disqualified – it is your responsibility to ensure this!)
